Portland, OR - Bullard Law is pleased to announce that Liani J. Reeves became a shareholder of the firm.  Liani focuses her legal practice on providing employment advice and litigation defense to public and private sector clients.  She is admitted to practice law in the State of Oregon and District of Columbia.

Liani joined the firm in 2015 after more than a decade of public service, during which she handled some of the State of Oregon's most high-profile matters.  Before joining Bullard Law, she served as General Counsel for the Office of the Governor.  During her four years as General Counsel, Liani served as chief lawyer to the Governor, advising on a wide range of complex legal issues, including employment, public transparency, First Amendment, government ethics, tribal, and public safety policy matters.  Prior to being appointed General Counsel, she served as an Assistant Attorney General and Deputy Chief Trial Counsel at the Oregon Department of Justice.  At the Department, she advised state agencies and officers on employment matters and served as defense counsel for the State of Oregon.  During her time with the Department, Liani successfully resolved hundreds of cases pre-trial and obtained favorable jury verdicts for her clients.

Liani's reputation as a lawyer and community leader precedes her time at Bullard Law.  She has been recognized by business publications, local, state, and national bar organizations, and other groups for her commitment to Oregon's business development and growth and to the community.  Liani is the past recipient of The Portland Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” Award and the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s “Best Lawyers Under 40” Award.  In 2011, Liani was named the 2011 Daily Journal of Commerce’s “Up & Coming Lawyer of the Year.” Liani is the immediate past president of the Oregon Asian Pacific American Bar Association and a past chair of the Oregon Minority Lawyers Association.  She recently began serving a four-year term on the Oregon State Bar Board of Governors.

Liani earned her bachelor’s degree from Willamette University and her law degree from Willamette University College of Law.  Liani is a proud Willamette Bearcat and remains involved as a mentor and volunteer.

Liani joins the current partners at Bullard Law in one of the leading management labor, employment, and benefits law firms in the Pacific Northwest.  The firm has served more than 5,000 clients throughout the United States in both the private and public sectors.  The firm is also Oregon's exclusive member of the Worklaw® Network – a nationwide network of independent law firms focused exclusively on representing management in labor, employment, and benefits law.
