Bullard Law Supports Birch Community Services Through Its “Jeans Friday” Efforts

Portland, OR – As a part of the “Jeans Friday” program, Bullard Law employees are wearing jeans on Fridays for the months of March and April in support of Birch Community Services.
 
Birch Community Services facilitates building healthy families through financial stability and a debt-free ethic. Their mission is to provide a community where people can be responsible and accountable for meeting their basic needs, and to equip them with the tools to overcome financial difficulty. Birch Community Services seeks to provide practical help in a loving community, education for strengthened employment and wise living, and responsibility and accountability that lead to sustainability.
 
Over the course of 2015 Birch Community Services served 4,347 working poor individuals and 930 families by distributing to them 9.01 million pounds of food and clothing. Due to such efforts as well as financial trainings and classes Birch Community Services was able to help these individuals and families by increasing their emergency savings by an average of 98% and reducing their monthly debt by 28%.
